These terms govern your use of Wordfarer (the "app"), published by Jolly Good Apps. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Wordfarer is
Wordfarer is an interactive storytelling game in which an AI narrator writes a tale that responds to what you type. The stories, characters and images are fiction generated by artificial intelligence. They are for entertainment only and are not advice of any kind. Any resemblance to real people, places or events is coincidental.
Who may use it
Wordfarer is intended for players aged 12 and over. By using the app you confirm you meet this age requirement, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Acceptable use
The app keeps its storytelling within a rating suitable for players aged 12 and over. You agree not to use it to try to generate, or to solicit, any of the following:
- sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content that is explicit;
- content that promotes hatred, or real-world violence or self-harm;
- instructions intended to cause real-world harm;
- anything unlawful.
The narrator will decline to go to these places. Persistent attempts to force it to may result in your access to custom input being limited or withdrawn.
Your input and generated stories
Text you enter is processed by our AI providers (see the Privacy Policy) to produce your tale. Please do not enter personal or sensitive information. Stories and images generated within the app, and the curated premises we provide, remain the property of Jolly Good Apps; some may be shared with other players as part of the story library.
Purchases and virtual items
Wordfarer may offer optional in-app purchases, including virtual currency used to unlock further chapters. Any virtual currency or item has no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and is licensed to you for use within the app only. Purchases are handled by the app store and are subject to that store's refund policy and your statutory rights.
Availability
The app depends on an online service and third-party AI providers. We provide it "as is" and may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Jolly Good Apps is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version will always appear at this address with a new date.
